Fiona is an Advanced Yoga Sports Coach™, Yoga Teacher and Martial Arts instructor. She has practiced yoga for over 35 years and been a teacher for 16 years. She has studied extensively in various styles of yoga and martial arts across the world and has trained with some of the world’s leading martial arts and yoga providers, including being a qualified British Wheel of Yoga Teacher and Prison Yoga Teacher. She was a trained and experienced extreme martial artist performer, dancer and performer.

Fiona has become one of only a handful of Advanced Yoga Sports Coaches™ in the world to have completed Postgraduate Diplomas in Yoga Sports Science® and the biomechanics of yoga for sport and is currently mentor to students studying with Yoga Sports Science®. She works throughout the Midlands and the U.K. and works with sports people, athletes, coaches, teams, and sports clubs across a wide and varied range of sports along with National Governing Bodies, physical performers, dancers and dance companies, actors and singers – including disabled and additional learning needs. All the way from grass roots through to the elite, professionals and Olympians.

Fiona also works with the Prison Phoenix Trust, and is a is a qualified Prison Yoga Teacher. In 2012, she was invited to assist Oxford University and the Prison Phoenix Trust, with a research project which explored the effects that yoga and meditation can have within the prison environment. She has worked for a number of years with Mind, the charity that helps people take control of their mental health, Staffordshire Mental Health Trust, The Padley Group and Asian Women’s Mental Health Group. She also works with Disability Direct and other organisations teaching mat and functional chair based yoga for the rehabilitation of stroke, MS, ME, Parkinson’s and injuries etc. along with older age groups, additional learning and emotional needs, mental health and addiction.

Fiona works with a person – centred approach and understands the anatomy and biomechanics of movement within any given sport or discipline undertaken to achieve that extra edge of excellence needed for capitalising on achievement and performance.
